I deployed dswsbobje by using command :

./wdeploy.sh tomcat7 -DAPP=dswsbobje deploy

And changed all the .WSDL on the location /IPSDS/BI41_HOME/sap_bobj/tomcat/webapps/dswsbobje/

ex : modify

http://localhost:8080/dswsboje

with

https://localhost:8444/dswsbobje

All this steps doesn't work fine !

Please who i enable the transport receiver for https ?

Re: How do I create a gap between series in column chart?

Hi Jay,

1) I do not think we have any such property to directly set it up.

One of the reasons for not providing that property would be that in such cases, differentiating between different series would then might cause confusions.

2) If you still want to get it done, you would have a play some tricks to make it look like that.

One of the possible ways could be below :

demo.PNG

I have used stacked column chart for above scenario created on the LEFT.

I am not able to attach the XLF file, it says that this content is not allowed

So, showing the details of Excel for the Stacked Column chart is as below :

Excel for Stacked Column Chart.PNG

Let me know if you have any queries. Hope the above answers your question

CAD File integration with SAP Dashboards

Dear members,

Does anyone know how to integrate CAD files into SAP Dashboards and show alerts on them based on data.

For example I have a CAD file of a floor plan of a shopping mall. I want to show alerts based on occupancy of the shop.

Thanks,
Rakesh

Take the CAD File Image into the dashboard using the image component and lay few shapes above the floor plan and make them little bit transparent to view the floor measurements. Now make formula or indicator that how you are identifying the shop is occupied. Based on the mark the dynamic visibility to the shops so that it will be indicated as booked or not.

Revert for any clarifications !!!

Logically speaking that is the way the column chart will behave. If the provision is provided to create a gap between the column then the label need to also get adjust, sometimes this may also mislead the information. Either you go for line chart/Combination chart (with line & column), hope it will satisfy your need.

Thanks for your reply. But it is not practically possible in my scenario.

I have a dashboards where I can select a mall. Based on the selection of the mall floor plan will change. There are total 20 malls. and each mall has 2 floor plans (Ground, First). and each floor plan has around 40+ shops. With this approach I need to put 1600+ shapes.

Hi Usman,

BI 4.0 is quite a old version is also currently not supported version as well.I would suggest moving to BI 4.2 as lot of issues have been fixed in the higher versions.

But still you can test the individual web service in the web service publisher and check if they work individually.

Amit

Hi All,

I am new to BOBJ tool.

We are having one issue with a report. When user opens the report is trying to refresh the data, the prompt icon is greyed out (under Analysis tab) in excel.

Could it be an issue with access to a particular folder or something with settings. Please let me know.

Thanks

Mohit

Please refer attachments...

One power user created a report. When the another user tries to execute that report then prompt is not available.

Hi Mohit,

I believe this is something to do with the authorization. Most of the authorization work is done back in BW. Do a authorization check in BW, SAP security person would be able to help you with this. Since your the developer you might be having all access.

There might be additional access required to execute the report for the user.

Refer to this guide -- http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/AMS13/en/13_aaoffice_admin_en.pdf

Hope this helps.

Las

ok..let me check with SAP Security once and will update the thread.

But tell me one thing: When we have a global report and by putting some location specific filters we save as report_location. Do we also define somewhere if the report would/or not ask for prompt ?

Hi Mohit- I really cannot answer your second question as it all depends. Original report should not be changed unless there's a change request from business.

JCO_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE : No more memory available to add rows to an internal table

Hi

We are facing JCO_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE error on the SAP Dashboards 4.1 sp 5. The screenshot is attached for reference.

We have upgraded the BW from 7.3 to 7.4 and Database from oracle to HANA.

The dashboard consists of 10 BICS Queries and 2 QWAAS queries.

It used to run fine before the upgrade. This error is coming immediately after the upgrade.

Our Analysis so far:

1. The dashboard sometimes runs fine for the first refresh like June 2016 but give error for the second time like Jan 2016 coz Jan has more data than June.

2. We have applied number of permutations and combinations to detect the problematic query in the dashboard by adding and deleting but not able to find. The dashboard was chopped till 4 queries then it didnt give the error.

3. We checked the dump on BW side. It gives memory error. The dashboard consumes the extended memory and then start using the heap memory and when it reaches 100% then the dashboard throws this error.

4. The HANA box is of 1TB , Heap memory is of 8 GB but still the dashboard gives error.

5. All the queries in rsrt runs fine in BW and gives no error.

6. The memory parameters are all checked from basis side as well.

7. When BO server is connected to non-migrated BW then it does not give any error.

8. The Web Intelligence report built using the same result set of dashboard runs fine and gives no error.

Please suggest a way forward as it is very critical now.

Let me know if any other information is required.

Thanks!!

I have been using the dashboard successfully for Power point and Word documents.  However, when I send it to PDF, it gave a message:  "To view the Flash technology content in this PDF file, please install the required version of FlasH Player."  Then it just quit there.

Something I need to do?

This is the latest note released from SAP for the above error, Kindly raise a ticket to SAP backtrack on this.

2339899 - Error: "JCO_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE: No more memory available to add rows to an internal table" occurs in Web Intelligence and Dashboards reports and short dump is created on the BW side when BEx queries are executed which return a lot of data

Validity:07.07.2016-active

Symptom

  • “Request processing failed (XLS 000009) BW ‘DATA_ACCESS_PROBLEMS’. Message = Error while retrieving data: JCO_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE: No more memory available to add rows to an internal table.” error message appears while loading the data in SAP BusinessObjects Dashboards report, after the migration and upgrade of SAP BW system (from version 7.01 to version 7.4 SP14), BW on HANA.
  • Note: Dashboards report is based on more BEx queries (e.g. 12 queries) which have to load lot of data into the report.
  • When using the same BEx queries (prompts, filters, structure) in a Web Intelligence report, a similar error message occurs there as well: "BW System x returned state 'DATA_ACCESS_PROBLEMS'. Message = Error while retrieving data: JCO_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE: No more memory available to add rows to an internal table. (WIS 00000)"
  • When the error message appears in Web Intelligence or in Dashboards, a short dump (TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED) is created on BW side.

Reason and PrerequisitesEnvironment:

  • SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform 4.1 SP05

  2. Refresh the WebI report making sure that any filters that are applied against the query will return a lot of data. (Query stripping is enabled.)
  3. The following error message occurs: "BW System PBW returned state 'DATA_ACCESS_PROBLEMS'. Message = Error while retrieving data: JCO_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE: No more memory available to add rows to an internal table. (WIS 00000)"
  4. A short dump is created on BW side.

Dashboards scenario:

  1. Open a complex Dashboards report (built on 12 BEx queries with BICS connectivity).
  2. Execute the report.
  3. The following error message is thrown: “Request processing failed (XLS 000009) BW ‘DATA_ACCESS_PROBLEMS’. Message = Error while retrieving data: JCO_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE: No more memory available to add rows to an internal table.”
