Hi
1. Check the Source Data property. Did you bind your Push button Source Data to a cell with a formula? Its possible the button is taking a value that's disabling the 'on' state
2. are you viewing the SWF with flash 10 +...cause you shouldnt be.
3. Model corruption. It happens. It happens alot. Delete your component and build another one, or copy every component from the object browser into a new model and re-bind.
